The Medical Cost Sharing Community
Sedera is a non-profit Medical Cost Sharing Community that offers an innovative, non-insurance approach for managing large healthcare costs. Sedera Members are like-minded individuals who are active and engaged participants in their health care decision making, dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and united by shared values.
The Membership Guidelines
When Members of the Sedera MCS Community experience a Need, funds from other Community Members’ MCS accounts go directly to reimburse those Members’ for the dollars spent over their chosen Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA). The Membership Guidelines determine which Needs are eligible for sharing. They are consistently revisited to best serve the Sedera MCS Community.
If you receive your Sedera Membership through your employer, these are your guidelines.
If you enrolled in Sedera individually or through an association, these are your guidelines.
In accordance with the Sedera Membership Guidelines, the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community has made clarifications, changes and updates to the sharing Guidelines. These Guidelines have been posted for Community viewing and will go into effect on April 2, 2021. Please review the applicable Sedera Guidelines carefully to note any changes.
