Dear Members of the Sedera Community,
With the continued spread of COVID-19, we recognize that these are unsettling and concerning days. If you are feeling anxious or stressed, it makes sense.
We want to assure you that you are not alone. What has always made our Community different is that in times of sickness and health, our Community is ready to rally around you.
That will not change. Our sharing model is unique because of its ability to handle big challenges. We want to assure you that our sharing guidelines empower the Sedera Board and Community to respond quickly to escalating circumstances that could impact the sharing of Needs. Decisions are transparent and driven by our commitment to the Member experience. Your choice to be part of our sharing Community is what enables Sedera to thrive. We are truly stronger together.
So as we collectively weather this storm, our greatest concern remains our Members’ health. In addition to our existing resources, we are thankful to be able to share a valuable new service available for immediate use.
Through our partnership with 2nd.MD, all Sedera Members have access to the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 including a dedicated toll-free support line that is manned by trained 2nd.MD care team nurses providing Coronavirus information, education, and support to individuals. While they cannot provide you with a diagnosis, they can assist with education on potential exposure risks, help direct you to seek medical care, and provide expert consults for those directly impacted by COVID-19. Details for how to access this resource are available on the COVID-19 Resources page in your Member App.
I am also pleased to share that we have expanded our Member Services live chat hours to provide extended guidance during the weekends. Our dedicated team is available to assist you on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.
We hope that you take advantage of these resources and urge your family and other Members to do so as well.
Situations impact everyone differently, but something we can all do in these critical moments is to manage the things within our control. Ground yourself, promote positivity, stay hydrated, rest, be kind to strangers, and, most importantly—be gentle with yourself and others.
We are all in this together.
